| Friday night went out for Sushi and plum wine with plum with Judy V
got 10 hours of sleep then off to garage sales where I got many treasurers but also got a ticket for parking badly - sigh
then lunch at a korean bbq (VERY YUMMY - about 132 and metcalf) with an old friend Monk
then afternoon with grandma
Casino - went in with $50 and left with $100 so that paid for the ticket
but as I was leaving panic call from Pooch who has a swollen lip - after various conversations and expert advice from Adam the great and wonderful Tim came down and took him to the ER
ETA Pooch update: Pooch is on way home now - IV of benadryl, pepcid and steroid - swelling is down. RX for steroids.l

I got a replacemnt power adaptor for my laptop and after a month I ended up bending the adaptor - well they have a one year warrenty so I emailed him and he's going to ship me out a replacment - now that is wonderful customer service. | | comments: Leave a comment |

| Pooch got into the apartment (we realize we no longer have a microwave. )
the truck is there but a block and a half away becuase they need a shuttle and can't get one till monday - SIGH
took a while but we contacted someone at the relocation company and they have straightened it all out - might be a few extra bucks (200) for us but IDA will pay the shuttle fee
The two spare bedrooms and upstairs bathroom are move our ready clean

| No more wifi at sirius kansas - the router has gone into Pooch's suitcase - I have one lone cat5 cable to my laptop - but since that is the only device in the house it will surfice - I'm just teathered - but since I only have one chair and it reaches to that chair I'm fine.

packers showed up monday - crew of 5 - very nice and polite, social but profressional - Jim was the lead packer
they took two days (stayed late 2nd day to finish)
movers showed up this morning about 8;30 and there were 5 of them (2 drivers and 3 loaders) and busted their but -
I had gotten premission from the neighbors to block of the street so they didn't need to shuttle things to the truck - just parked in the street
around lunch I took a poll asked if they would rather have a pizza lunch or a tip (the voted tip)
they loaded boxes and small stuff from downstairs then built a 'chute' down the stairs (two dishpacks on the bottom, and wardrobe boxes down the stairs to make a slide for the boxes)
the 3 helpers took off I think about 3:30 and the drivers were signign off on paperwork before 4
backup driver said he was going to go change in truck - main driver said he was going to wait and pulled at his sweaty shirt - I thinking of some of the tales that roya_spirit has told said that they were welome to use our shower since we stil had a shower curtin and such - they politely made sure they were not imposing and then rotated thru the shower - very glad to be able to shower before having dinner.
so by 5 they were off to dinner.
we have set up the tv and airmattress from jensixstones (crazy cat lady who came by on her moped with her cat in a baby carrier) and lamp from theryn

| I have my office done -
Bamm the 3 inboxes are moving - but I do have them (unfiled) in folders in one of the drawers of the file cabinet. I did get to finish up going thru what was in the file cabinet and make a bunch of room - lots of shredding
All the cablels in the office are taken apart and each cable in a zip lock sandisch bag to prevent insane cable knots (and they are already labled what they are from when I got the lable maker) - the laser printer is still connected to the router and power but that is it (i'm on my laptop - which will eventually just go directly into the cable modem since sinding the wireless with pooch.
I have coffeepot and a phone labeled with 'do not move do not pack' and the rest of the stuff either in the laundry room (all do not pack) or the utility room (all do not pack)
